COMPANY is one of the largest and most complex international Gas Processing & Distribution Companies. It is a key element of UAE’s hydrocarbon chain and plays an important role in the energy strategy and the economic development of Abu Dhabi and the country at large. It continuously undergoes major expansions which increase its capacity to process increasingly sour associated and natural gas, and link COMPANY to the offshore feed gas providers. The Ruwais NGL Complex receives NGL from COMPANY’s extraction plants t produce Ethane (C2), Propane (C3), Butane (C4), and Paraffinic Naphtha (C5+). Except for Ethane, which is transferred to Borouge, the other outputs are stored in various tanks that are connected to COMPANY and ADNOC jetties for export to tankers, any disruption will affect the upstream production and downstream petrochemical plant activities.

It is a major challenge for the Senior Mechanical Engineer (ORP/M 1) to ensure the effective coordination and communication across a diverse and complex range of major projects in order to effectively integrate new facilities without impacting safety and operations of existing assets. The Operations Group consists of the following divisions: Habshan & Bab Plants, Ruwais Plant, BuHasa Plant, Asab Plant, Pipelines, Engineering and Technical Support and Production Planning Department. THE COMPANY is one of the largest and complex Gas Processing & Distribution Company ‘First-Of-Its-Kind’ in the world with application of modern “StateOf-The Art’ technology. THE COMPANY has four Gas Processing and NGL Extraction Plants situated at different locations in deserts and a single NGL Fractionation & Liquefaction Plant with products loading facility. THE COMPANY plants receive natural gas from 113 gas wells (from 5 reservoirs with different gas quality) and associated gas from 602 crude oil wells (from 11 reservoir zones and 5 oil fields). • To direct and supervise all on-stream and shutdown inspection activities for stationary equipment, piping systems, pressure relieving device and structures.

Scope of Duties: PURPOSE

To perform and provide technical assistance to the respective Plant Inspection Section Head and Inspection Engineer, in all activities related to testing and inspection of static equipment in process plants and conducting Non Destructive Testing on this equipment.

BACKGROUND

The position reports to the Inspection Engineer. He perfonns inspection activities in accordance with Inspection and HSE Policies and Procedures. And coordinates activities with Operations and Engineering/Maintenance Department personnel, plus Third Party Contractors for inspection maintenance work. Has frequent contacts with specialized Contractors, Operators, Mechanical and Civil personnel, to ensure that quality of works meet the pre-established requirements.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To execute, interpret and report on all Non Destructive Testing activities, to assess and identify the condition on newly fabricated or in service piping and equipment.
• To install and retrieve corrosion monitoring systems indicators on the plant HP gas loops.
• To follow up execution of repairs and modifications/PCR’s, materials selection, welding, painting, insulation and wrapping activities.
• To perform relevant test requirements prior to final acceptance by the Inspection Section Head.
• To maintain and update the Inspection section filing, Pacer system and Work Orders in the Maximo maintenance management system.
• To inspect Certification of Scaffolding in order to authorize its use within the plant.
• To participate in identification of areas of concern analyses.
• To perform Inspection Activities in line with Inspection Procedures, HSE Management System, Maintenance and Inspection Policies.
• To ensure implementation of competency based Training & Development programs, through use of Personal Development Plans (PDP’s) and UAE Nationalization directives
• To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures

MAIN CHALLENGES
To maintain Maximo, Pacer and filing systems updated to promote and control an effective maintenance and inspection follow up, due to the lack of understanding of the MAXIMO system’s available functions and applications.

Minimum Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory
Diploma in mechanical engineering
• 5 years experience working in gas- / oil industry
• Qualified as ASNT level-2 in MPT, DPT, RT & UT with 3 years field experience

• Welding inspector qualification through either US or CSWIP, coating inspector, CP inspector

Scope of Duties: Leads the development of architectural principles that support business goals and work with other specialists in this unit to develop IT architecture standards and a buy list of approved technologies and Manages and directs the development of capacity planning for all systems, networks and databases to ensure availability of adequate capacity to meet current and future service commitments. The job scope also includes the development and maintenance of COMPANY?s Business Continuity Program and ensuring the availability of IT services and relevant information following any major incident as well as keeping track of new Information Technology developments and advising CISD and ITD when new technologies can contribute to COMPANY?s objectives Main Duties/Accountabilities: Architecture Design: 1. ? Translate COMPANY?s information Technology strategy into systems and data architecture requirements and identify critical future state enterprise needs. ? Define and build enterprise system and data models and identify the required IT infrastructure. ? Initiate projects to implement the required systems to meet current and future enterprise information needs. ? Monitor and track changes to critical business processes and coordinate the implementation of required modifications to the existing architecture. ? Conducts reviews and updates a Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) to determine critical business processes. ? Identifies acceptable recovery time periods, and establishes resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster. ? Ensure that the Business Continuity Plan remain well integrated with COMPANY?s Crisis Management, and Emergency Response Plans. ? Assists HSED in the development and distribution of division and field emergency/disaster response procedures. ? Assists in updating emergency procedures to reflect changes in staff size, location, organization, and office facilities. ? Monitors the effectiveness of procedures during evacuation drills and assists in revising the procedures as necessary. ? Conducts reviews and updates a Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) to determine critical business processes. ? Identifies acceptable recovery time periods, and establishes resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster. ? Assist in investigating, diagnosing and resolving problems related to capacity of proposed and/or exiting systems. ?
